The service, communication and work provided exceeded my expectations (5 star rating!) Matt, the service adviser was a pleasure to work with (good customer skills) and communicated effectively throughout the entire process. They do have some highly skilled technician (mechanics) that were able to identify/isolate the issue that I reported:, "a high pitch, whining noise that was noticeable as the vehicle speed increases above 35 mph". They resolved the issue by replacing the passenger side rear wheel bearing that was creating the whining noise. Definitely was a puzzling issue and was one of five possible reported issues (i.e. transmission pump, tire uneven/cupping, low on or change transmission fluid needed, etc). In closing, I would suggest and/or recommend them to anyone needing car repairs to stop by and get a free diagnostic and quote. That's part of their advertisement and Matt will highlight this point for your reference.

Highly recommended shop. Matt was fantastic, transparent, communicative, dealt with the (bleeeeep)ing warranty company for me. Matt and his team at AAMCO Round Rock were the first break in a long stretch of bad customer service experiences with my vehicle. They provided me with everything I needed to know what was happening, when it was happening and even updated me on a few insider tips while managing the job. I do as much of my own work as I can, but this repair was gas-leaking-from-gas-tank related, so I wasn't comfortable DIY-ing (aka DY-ing) it. Point being - I don't generally trust shops, especially when one is randomly chosen from a handful of given options, but the universe was watching over me when I had my baby sent to Matt and his team at AAMCO in Round Rock! In a world full of consistently poor customer service, this team is doing it right. Keep it up, AAMCO ROUND ROCK!

Matt is the guy I always talk to and he's very good at his job. I took my truck to him 4 months ago to get my transmission rebuild and they did a great job always stay in contact with you to let you know what's going on through out the work on your truck or car and great customer service. This shop diagnosed our Kia Sedona with 95k miles on it with a failed transmission. Matt provided an incredibly detailed diagnostic report and a quote to replace the transmission at a great price. Since I did not want to believe my transmission had passed on at such a young age, I took it to another shop. This shop shall remain nameless, just know that it had a five star review on Google. The other shop decided to try to fix the problem by replacing the TCC solenoid. When this did not work, they realized their error and recommended replacing the transmission. Clearly, AAMCO Round Rock did a much better diagnostic job, not taking the OBD2 code literally. AAMCO's free diagnostic included a lengthy test drive and check of the transmission fluid, while the other shop freely admitted that checking the fluid was too much trouble due to having to get the van on the lift. Once they replaced the solenoid and got into the fluid, they realized that the transmission was dead, and charged me for the solenoid anyway (at least I think this is what happened). Humbled and with a lighter wallet, I drove the van back to AAMCO. They replaced the transmission in a couple of days. Throughout the process

We have used the Cedar Park location several times over the past 10 years - from AC work to dropping in a transmission - and were always taken care of with great communication and attention to detail. We moved to Round Rock and were told when we called this location that they were #1 in the region, so we were anticipating service that meet/beat Cedar Park. Main issue is we still have the same issue as before our differential was repaired. Equally serious issue is they parked our Navigator under a tree when the Winter Storm blew in. The tree split in half onto our car and they said they didn’t see any damage. 100% incorrect, we acquired the vehicle last night (after hours) and there are 5+ areas with dents and scratches. At this point, the dishonesty is alarming and I do not trust that the person we are working with at this location to make things right with either issue. Update 02/23 - GM Greg called and our suspicions seem correct. We have the same mechanical issues we had when we dropped the car off at Aamco over a month ago and no recourse for actual repair. GM Greg also believe “acts of God” are not covered by their insurance, so they are in fact trying to skirt damage by the t
